Summertime at The Teahouse

The Teahouse has launched their summer menu with many new dishes created by Chef Francois Gagnon. A friend joined me as we enjoyed a wonderful dinner tasting some of their new dishes on their summer menu. Ideally on a sunny day you are going to want to dine on their patio that has a spectacular view or you may dine as we did inside in the conservatory. The new menu focuses on a number of seasonal fruits and vegetables and local catch.

Heirloom Tomato Salad

Salt & Pepper Squid

Margheritta Pizza

Halibut with Tomato & Fennel Salad

Duck Confit

To begin our sharing meal we had the Heirloom Tomato Salad ($9.50) this followed by the Salt & Pepper Squid ($8) in a squid ink sauce, both of these appetizers were fresh and tasty. We heard that the restaurant recently added a new pizza oven, and I had no idea the pizza would be so good, we ate the whole Margheritta Pizza ($13) the crispy crust was perfect. For our main entrees we had the outstanding Halibut with Tomato & Fennel Salad ($26) in an almond cucumber gazpacho and the Duck Confit ($19) with olive oil crushed potatoes and sauerkraut.

Dark Chocolate Parfait

Rhubarb Almond Tart

For dessert we had the Dark Chocolate Parfait ($8) which was more like a mouse and the delicious and light Rhubarb Almond Tart ($8).

We owe a great deal of gratitude to our server Ivana who was very knowledgeable with the dishes and her service was spot on, she took great care of us through out the meal. Ivana has been with The Teahouse for the past 15 years, being a server at a restaurant like The Teahouse for so many years is very special.

The Teahouse restaurant located at Ferguson Point in the heart of Stanley Park.
