This summer’s evening Sommelier, Tim Ellison of Bistro 101®, will provide a guided tour of a blooming international phenom; rosé wines. This 5-course journey pays homage to the diversity and food friendliness of this playful wine style. These especially chosen rosé pairings travel through Spain, BC, Argentina, France and finally Australia. What’s left for you to do is decide which rosé will come to fruition at your next patio affair.

Advice: Make and advance reservation
I dined here recently with some friends and had a wonderful meal. Cru specializes in serving small plates and more than 35 wines by the glass along with a changing prix-fixed menu. This is place for foodies, the dishes that we had were their Syrah-braised Beef Short Rib ($18) with macaroni and cheese, Miso-marinated Sablefish ($13) with creamed cauliflower and sautéed greens. To finish off the meal I ordered the Grand Cru Chocolate Truffle ($8) with peanut butter marscarpone mouse to share.
Cru is a modern yet relaxed intimate space, artful and somewhat romantic. The prix-fixe menu ($42) is the way to go here, featuring 3 courses and then you can pair each item with a different wine from their extensive list.
